Description: Landscape architects for this unique collaboration of sustainable public housing and community healthcare facility in Bridgeport, CT. The new $18 million complex, has been hailed as a wonderful example of repairing a neighborhood through jointly addressing housing and health care needs. Among the many sustainable features are LEED-certified green roofs on the medical building and on the one-story hallways that connect to the dental clinic, and a central Zen garden courtyard to engage waiting patients.
